ATOM [Geospectra Corporation]

ATOM is a highly modularized and structured photogrammetric softwaresystem. It correlates 8-bit, digitized stereometric photography andmeasure parallax displacement for each image pixel (picture element).ATOM uses a high-resolution scanner to digitize photography, and a SPARC-based workstation to locate fiducials and identify more than five imagematch points with known elevations.The output of ATOM is digital data consisting of a very-high-densityraster of digital elevation data (DTEDs) and a precisely coregisteredraster of image brightness data. The DTEDs represent point elevations ofeach image pixel, either of bare ground or features on the ground.
